Filipino lumpia recipe
Ingredients:
-1 pack of lumpia wrappers (you can find them at stores or supermarket)
-1 1/2 pound ground beef
-1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
-some carrots, rinse and chopped
-1/2 cup onion, chopped
-some chilies (you can remove them if you don't want)
Directions:
1. Lumpia wrappers must be thawed, lay them on a dry surface and cover with a damp towel.
2. Prepare a medium bowl, put gound beef, onion, green bell pepper, and carrot, blend them together gently.
3. Place about 2 tablespoon of the mixture along the centre of the wrapper. The filling should not too big or too small. Because, the wrapper will burn before the meat is cooked.
4. Fold the edges in slightly, then roll into cylinder.
5. Wet your finger to moisten the edge to seal. Or, you can use beaten egg white to seal them properly. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling. Keeping finished lumpias covered to prevent drying.
6. Heat pan and add some oil to fry them. Fry lumpia until browned.
7. Serve warm with your loved ones. Filipino lumpia best enjoyed with dip spicy sauce.
